I have always been a fan of street fighter or any capcom fighting game. One day I just felt like drawing Chun Li and so I did. I sold prints of this at comic con but maybe people didn't like my version of her so i have prints left over...oh well..... I have a Sakura in sketch form but I'm not sure when I will get around to it since I'm putting a lot of effort into this Godoka piece *^* so much to do....
Print is available! 11x17 [link] Shoot me a note or an email! mayuiki@gmail.com
Chun Li appears really happy like she’s in high spirits over something. Perhaps it’s a brighter future in the distance. What adds to the atmosphere is the background with the bright orange giving the feel of energy and enthusiasm and the flowers that seem to express happiness.
It’s too bad this illustration didn’t do so well in sells because I think it looks really good. I love your version of Chun Li as she has this young, cute appearance, and the bright colors match perfectly with your character design and just the atmosphere of the picture in general. I know little of Chun Li (since I hardly played Street Fighter and invest in the fandom) but in this picture she seems like a cheerful, fun person to be with ^ ^ (and that is probably opposite from what she might be in the games).
I'm glad you like this! I wanted her to look cute and youthful. I'm happy I was able to accomplish the happy and bright look. That is actually what I was going for!
Chun Li has a cute side to her. That is what I wanted to draw instead of her "I'm the strongest woman in the world" side.

Thanks again
It's a good thing it worked out for you. ^_^ So she does have a cute side to her.
I love Chun Li! I've always been a fan ever since I saw my mom playing as her and showing my how to do the lightning kick!
I laughed a little too loud when I read "wall of muscles" I never interpreted as that hahah!
Great use of words
Lolyah in most of the games and fanart, her thighs are giganti-mongous. Sometimes it may be cute, but sometimes I want to see regular sized legs. XD
Thanks
